Job Description: As a Physical Education teacher at Wayman Learning Trust, you will play a vital role in inspiring and nurturing young minds in a supportive and academically rigorous environment.   • Our ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for PE and a captivating teaching style, excelling in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
  • You will be responsible for guiding students in developing their physical skills, fitness levels, and understanding of sportsmanship and teamwork, as well as preparing them for success in external examinations (GCSE & A-Level).
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the PE department and contribute to school-wide events, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and informative PE lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
  • Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Guide students in developing their physical skills, fitness levels, and understanding of sportsmanship and teamwork.
  • Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE & A-Level).
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the PE department and contribute to school-wide events.

Requirements:

  • Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Physical Education or a closely related subject.
  • Demonstrates a strong passion for PE and a captivating teaching style.
  • Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
  • Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
