A dynamic and ambitious environmental consultancy based in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to drive business growth and lead on projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team that prides itself on delivering exceptional ecology services to a diverse range of clients.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for winning and delivering ecological surveys and assessments, working closely with the company's managing director. You will also play a crucial role in training and mentoring junior consultants, helping to develop their skills and expertise.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Protected species licenses (ideally a level 2 Bat Licence)
  • Proven experience in managing a range of surveys
  • Ability to train and lead junior staff
  • CIEEM membership
