About the Role:

As a key member of the HS2 team, you will be responsible for delivering commercial activities within the Delivery teams. This involves working alongside the supply chain and contractors to assure and support their commercial activities, providing an independent view to the Head of Commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop commercial works information, review works information from other functions, and draft contract documents to ensure consistency and alignment with procurement plans.
  • To evaluate tenders and support moderation to achieve Contract Award.
  • To support the development of contract management plans.
  • To provide commercial assurance to the Head of Commercial of all Delivery commercial activities, including contract payments, performance incentives, and cost verification.
  • To review and analyse supply chain monthly reports to drive supply chain performance.
  • To input contract level performance information into monthly MBR reports.
  • To participate in and contribute to monthly contract and programme performance reviews and other ad hoc reviews.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of managing commercial management teams' members in infrastructure projects and programmes. You will also need to have experience of working with or for publicly funded bodies and/or a publicly funded project. Additionally, you will need to have experience of planning, developing, and implementing infrastructure contracts and of working with procurement teams in tender preparation, administration, and evaluation.
