Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEND/SEMH Support

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a Northumberland-based role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with children who may have additional needs or are looked after children
  • Build rapport and a good relationship with the pupils
  • Support the tutor in providing educational sessions, face-to-face with children at their homes or a local area
  • Keep the child engaged with tasks, which is essential in this role
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a classroom setting
  • Experience working with a variety of SEND/SEMH needs
  • Ability to implement different behaviour strategies
