About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Project Accountant to join our team at Glasgow City Council and Arms Length Organisation. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in delivering various financial projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Finance Project Lead in delivering financial projects and initiatives
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial risks
Requirements
  • CCAB/CIMA qualified
  • Working knowledge of financial ledger systems
  • Ability to interpret legislative requirements and apply technical issues
  • Established negotiating skills to influence and challenge budget holders
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities
