We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Kenton Black Science & Engineering. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Organic Laboratory Manager and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Method Development and Validation: Develop and validate new methods in accordance with our quality procedures, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Data Management: Complete validation statements and PDS to collate, input, and check all data, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Technical Support: Provide technical training for staff involved in method development and implementation, ensuring seamless integration into routine production.
- Instrumentation and Equipment: Organize, evaluate, install, and validate new instruments, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
- Method Review and Improvement: Review and write analytical methods, driving continuous improvement and ensuring our processes remain up-to-date.
- Non-Routine Analytical Work: Organize and perform non-routine analytical work, solve technical problems, and manage method validation with section heads/managers.
- Technical Support and Collaboration: Provide technical support to internal staff, external clients, and staff at other sites, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Quality Assurance: Be conversant with our company's Quality procedures, investigating atypical results and quality system failures raised by clients or internal/external audits.
- Education: Hold a BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Experience: Working knowledge and experience of complex laboratory equipment and processes, including LCQQQ, GCQQQ, GCMS, and GCGC analysis and extraction.
- Background: Proven experience of working in a laboratory is essential, preferably within the Environmental industry.
- Skills: Experience of method development and instrument implementation is also essential.
