We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Biostatistics Leader to join our Data Science and Modeling team.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned biostatistician to lead the development of our non-clinical statistics function, working closely with stakeholders across Biomedical Research to integrate statistical insights into research and development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Function Development: Develop and implement strategies to establish our non-clinical statistics function as a center of excellence, providing support for multiple disease areas and functions.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of statistical insights and recommendations to inform research decisions.
  3. Support Disease Area: Provide expert statistical support and guidance for one of our disease areas, driving innovation and improvement in data analysis and interpretation.
  4. Leadership: Serve as a member of our interdisciplinary analytical leadership team, representing non-clinical statistics on internal boards as needed.
  5. Methodological Innovation: Drive the development and application of novel statistical methodologies to enhance data analysis and interpretation.
  6. Training and Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior statisticians and data scientists, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Education: Ph.D. or MSc in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in non-clinical statistics, with a strong background in translational medicine or biomedical research.
  3. Leadership: Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  4. Technical Skills: Expertise in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python).
  5. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive methodological innovation and apply advanced statistical techniques to complex problems.
  7. Fluent in English (oral and written).

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
