The practice is an independent veterinary surgery located on the Northumberland coast. They are seeking a skilled veterinarian to join their team, covering some Large Animal (LA) out-of-hours work.
Job Description:
This role involves working as a mixed animal practitioner, with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. The ideal candidate will have experience in both small and large animal care and be comfortable handling various species.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care and treatment
- Conduct routine surgeries and medical procedures
- Work closely with the LA on-call team to ensure seamless transitions and quality care
Requirements:
- 4-day week with occasional 5-day weeks and weekends
- Shared OOH rota for LA cases
- Mainly small animal caseload with seasonal farm work
- Opportunity to develop special interests and pursue further education
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
- 20-minute consultations
- Long weekends every 6 weeks
- Part-time candidates also considered
