Role Overview

Serve as a Senior Engineering Manager at Promote Project, leading two teams of Applied Scientists and Engineers to deliver AI/ML solutions at scale. This position will shape the future of sports technology by blending technical expertise, management skills, product focus, and business understanding.

Main Responsibilities
  • Set Direction. Define a long-term vision and direction, driven by our customers' needs, translating it into roadmaps, and foster collaboration across teams, functions, and business units to define and execute complex projects.
  • Develop and manage a research agenda, that balances short-term deliverables with measurable business impact, as well as long-term investments.
  • Act as a technical supervisor. You'll guide development efforts to maximize outcomes in your team's area.
  • Hire and develop top talent. You'll provide technical and career development guidance to Applied Scientists and Engineers across the organization.
  • Innovate. Drive continued scientific innovation and advance the team's engineering craftsmanship as a practitioner and thought leader.

Requirements

We're seeking an experienced leader who has a proven track record of shipping impactful products, managing teams of Applied Scientists and ML Engineers, building, maintaining, and monitoring complex AI/ML models and systems in production, and communicating complex technical concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization and diverse stakeholders. Experience in the sports industry using AI/ML is a plus.

Compensation

This role comes with a salary of £60,000 - £90,000 per year.
