About the Role

We're seeking a talented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Aggreko, a global leader in energy solutions. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of our innovative energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct due diligence on technical product elements, including product comparison and technology applications.
  • Develop knowledge of system interfaces, including communication methods and protocols.
  • Assist with technology prospecting, including market competitor and vendor analysis.
  • Participate in testing and validation of products at vendor and depot locations.
  • Understand regional standards and create documentation templates for processes.
  • Perform simulation tasks using Power Factory and MATLAB.
  • Develop technical models and simulations for new units and project work.
  • Assess infant care issues for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) products.
  • Support controls development and testing for BESS products.
Requirements
  • Self-driven with strong communication and people skills.
  • Interest in learning about Battery Energy Storage Systems, Li-Ion batteries, Inverters, Control Systems, communication and Interfaces, Power Electronics, etc.
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Ability to work under pressure and plan, organise and prioritise own work.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of business processes and high working standards.
