About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Class Teacher to join our team at London South East Colleges. As a Class Teacher - Autism Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored learning programs for students with autism and complex needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special education or autism
  • Strong understanding of autism and complex needs, with the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
