Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Therapist to join our team at the Sunflower House Tier 4 Inpatient Unit. The successful candidate will provide systemic therapy assessments, interventions, and supervision to support children, young people, and families.

About the Role
  • The post holder will lead and coordinate specialist systemic psychotherapy/family therapy assessments.
  • They will formulate and devise intervention plans and provide systemic family therapy interventions using a range of discipline-specific models appropriate to the service.
  • To continuously evaluate treatment/therapy options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the child, young person or family.
Responsibilities

Clinical:

  • Lead and coordinate specialist systemic psychotherapy/family therapy assessments.
  • Formulate and devise intervention plans and provide systemic family therapy interventions.
  • Join internal and external network meetings to provide a systemic perspective.
  • Continuously evaluate treatment/therapy options.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and specialist skill in using a wide variety of systemic theories and interventions.
  • Well-developed skills in communicating complex information to clients, their families, carers, and professional colleagues.
  • Specialist skills in providing supervision and consultation to other professional groups.
Experience
  • Minimum three years practice in relevant first profession.
  • Experience of specialist systemic assessment, formulation, and intervention with clients across a range of care settings.
  • Experience of working with a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
