Job Title: Senior Consultant - M&A, Infrastructure Technical Due Diligence

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our M&A, Infrastructure Technical Due Diligence team. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering technical due diligence services to financial institutions and infrastructure operators.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Consultant with a strong technical background and experience in the infrastructure and/or energy sectors. You will work closely with our clients to deliver technical due diligence services on buy-side, sell-side, and project financing deals. Your expertise will be essential in identifying risks and opportunities within technical documentation, site visits, and technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of proposals, including the development of company profiles, scopes of work, scheduling, and commercial terms.
  • Assist on projects that provide clients with a technical, operational, and business plan evaluation of their proposed investment on infrastructure assets.
  • Coordinate the delivery of typical project deliverables, such as Q&A submissions, management sessions, client meetings, and report delivery.
  • Work effectively across technical communities within ERM and subcontractors who are identified as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support project delivery and client interaction.
  • Complete internal development tasks to improve the functionality of the infrastructure service line.
Requirements:
  • A solid academic background with an engineering bias (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering).
  • 2-6 years of technical consulting and/or engineering experience within the energy/infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to identify risks and opportunities within technical documentation, site visits, and technical discussions.
  • Ability to promote and execute quality work, ensuring high standards are achieved by yourself and the team.
  • Advanced report writing skills.
  • Ability to manage or assist with complex project delivery, coordinating multiple workstreams into client deliverables.
  • Interest in domestic and overseas travel to perform site visits when required.
  • Management of previous external client projects.
  • Experience in developing and/or managing Capex (Capital Expenditure) and Opex (Operating Expenditure) for development projects or operating assets, supporting business case preparation, and budgeting.
