About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Lidl in Deutschland. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and improvement of our stores across your region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out structural maintenance in both stores and warehouses, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Attend to general building and labouring work, including groundwork repairs and plumbing.
  • Utilize your decorating skills to paint and tile, maintaining a high standard of finish.
  • Confidently carry out general plumbing duties, ensuring all fixtures and fittings are in good working order.
  • Frequently use power tools, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Undertake PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) visits to store and work proactively to find and repair faults.

Requirements

  • Experience in general maintenance work, with a strong understanding of building and labouring practices.
  • Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to accurately record and report maintenance activities.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility with regards to working hours, as some evenings and weekends may be required.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ or BTEC, are desirable but not essential.
