Job Title: Digital Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Digital Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Digital Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of high-end Photocopiers and MFP devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and repair a full range of MFP and Production Print equipment in line with technical specifications.
  2. Attend to field technical calls at client premises, responding to requests within targeted response times and fixing products efficiently.
  3. Ensure accurate technical records are maintained via use of PDA service support tools and communication with call control.
  4. Maintain and manage cloud-based digital document repository access via regular online synchronization of provided laptop tools.
  5. Ensure company vehicles are maintained in line with published procedures and kept clean and presentable.
  6. Attend technical training courses, seminars, and online training modules to maintain technical skills and product awareness.
  7. Liaise and cooperate with other departments to promote efficient operational service.
  8. Communicate regularly within technical department escalation channels regarding technical observations to support customer or equipment-related issues.
Person Specification:

Essential:

  1. Competent technician with extensive experience in repairing and maintaining monochrome MFP devices or from an electro mechanical FSE background.
  2. Connectivity experience, including installing print drivers and connecting basic printers to simple networks.
  3. DBS and SC Vetting will be a mandatory requirement for this role.

Desirable:

  1. Advanced IT networking and connectivity experience, including setting up network scanning and full MFP installation on print servers.
  2. Full, clean driving license.
