Job Summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Photographer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical photography services to a wide range of clinical specialties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality clinical photographs of patients in a photographic studio and on location in clinic, ward, and theatre settings.
  • Provide photographs for NAI, medico-legal, and police purposes.
  • Undertake ophthalmic imaging, including FFA's, OCT's, and Fundus Photography.
  • Communicate with service users to facilitate photographic requests and answer related queries.
  • Use image editing software to process and upload clinical photographs to the Trust image database.
  • Perform non-clinical photography for public relations and communication purposes.
  • Discuss and offer advice on photographic-related issues and clarify the requesting process, consent, and other matters.

About the Role

The Clinical Photographer will work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive and high-quality medical photography service. The role will involve working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Photography degree with clinical photography knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • BTEC HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent in photography.
  • Experience of clinical and general photography, as well as highly computer literacy with good knowledge of digital photography and image management software.
