Natural Environment Conservation Role
Exmoor National Park Authority is committed to conserving and enhancing the natural and cultural heritage of Exmoor. We are seeking a skilled Planning and Development Officer to join our team and play a vital role in safeguarding Exmoor's special qualities for future generations.

As a Planning and Development Officer, you will be responsible for managing the impact of developments on Exmoor's special qualities, ensuring they contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of communities. Your duties will include processing planning applications within statutory deadlines, negotiating with applicants and agents, offering guidance and advice, drafting reports, and presenting them to planning committees, as well as monitoring development sites and investigating alleged breaches of planning control.

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for conservation and sustainable development. If you have a degree in Town and Country Planning or equivalent experience, an understanding of National Park purposes and planning in protected landscapes, and a UK driving licence, we encourage you to apply. Our salary range for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
