The Role:

The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of multiple ongoing projects within the Civil and Water sectors, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects from design phase to completion, including all handover documentation.
  2. Review progress, budget resources, and forward planning to ensure successful project delivery.
  3. Prepare comprehensive estimates for additional work outside target costs.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:

  1. Set high standards of leadership in promoting HSE procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company policies and legal requirements.
  2. Allocate HSE responsibilities and duties for site personnel, providing necessary training and support.
  3. Ensure subcontractors follow clients' procedures and processes.
  4. Produce and maintain site waste management plans and environmental risk assessments.
  5. Provide training and briefings to the team.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing projects within the Civil and Water sectors and meet the following criteria:

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control.
  2. Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent.
  3. CSCS certification.
  4. SMSTS certification.
  5. Knowledge of the NEC contract, including Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms.
  6. Excellent communication, people, and team management skills.
  7. Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
