Vehicle Maintenance Technician

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at John Lewis Partnership. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as a solid understanding of health and safety regulations. About the Job

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for servicing and repairing a range of commercial vehicles, including delivery vans and trucks. In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Servicing and repairing commercial vehicles to ensure they meet regulatory standards
  • Maintaining workshop equipment and tools to ensure efficient operation
  • Collaborating with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve processes
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior technicians


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician qualification or equivalent experience
  • A full UK driving license
  • At least three years' experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Proven knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and software
