About the RoleThis exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Trauma & Orthopaedic team at Ysbyty Gwynedd. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and managing nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
You will have significant post-registration experience at Band 5 and a proven track record of leadership and management skills. Experience within an appropriate orthopaedic clinical area is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be able to provide evidence of good ward organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and negotiation and communication skills with patients and members of the MDT team. IT skills, including email and Word, are also essential.
Job Responsibilities- Lead and manage nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and reduce waiting times
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective multidisciplinary team working
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold current registration with the NMC
- Hold a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Have significant post-registration experience at Band 5
- Have experience within an appropriate orthopaedic clinical area
- Be able to demonstrate good ward organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and negotiation and communication skills with patients and members of the MDT team
The successful candidate will work within a busy trauma and orthopaedic ward, where you will be expected to lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.

Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is approximately £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
