Job Title: Apprentice Laboratory Assistant

ZipRecruiter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apprentice Laboratory Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to assist in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of laboratory samples. The successful candidate will have a strong background in science, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of laboratory samples
  • Conduct routine analysis and reporting
  • Identify and rectify constraints to minimize delays
  • Develop and maintain laboratory methods and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and UKAS accreditation
  • Provide performance monitoring and take remedial action as necessary

Requirements:

  • HND in science or equivalent plus relevant working experience
  • Considerable analytic laboratory experience
  • Relevant radiochemical and chemical knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to gain SC clearance
