Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs for various data centre, mission critical, and healthcare projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us grow and develop a team of technically competent engineers within this high-performing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions meet brief and regulatory standards
  • Take responsibility for solid technical delivery, either alone or as part of a team
  • Contribute to the overall business performance by leading the electrical service design on projects
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project objectives
  • Engage with junior support staff, offering advice and guidance to ensure their skills development
Requirements:
  1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Services Engineering
  2. Prior experience as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Engineer, with a strong understanding of the design lifecycle
  3. Proficient in computer modelling design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM
  4. Experience working on data centre or mission critical projects, with a background in project lifecycle stages from conception to launch
