CNC Setter/Operator Opportunity
We are recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator to join a precision engineering company in Exeter, Devon. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines, as well as inspection, manual machining, and jig and fixture manufacture.
About the Role:
- Programme, set, and operate CNC machines, including turning and milling
- Inspect and test components
- Perform manual machining tasks
- Manufacture jigs and fixtures
- Maintain standards as per company QA manual
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on machines, including end-of-week cleaning
Requirements:
- Previous experience with Fanuc controls and CNC machines
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of programming
- Ability to read, understand, and work with engineering technical drawings
Working Hours:
We offer flexible working hours, including early shift (paid with a 10% premium) and day shift options. The successful candidate will work a 5-day week, Monday to Thursday, with a 39-hour contract.
