About the Role:

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in Leeds. The successful candidate will work within the behaviour department to support students with integrating in mainstream classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Social Emotional Mental Health Challenges (SEMH support)
  • Deescalate challenging behaviour, using behaviour management and restorative techniques
  • Liaise with students' parents / carers as required
  • Build rapport with students and be a source of pastoral support

Requirements:

  • Hold experience working with young people, ideally within an education setting
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of behaviour de-escalation, restoration, and management
  • Have a sound understanding of social emotional mental health and how to best support individuals

Contract Details:

  • Temporary to Permanent Contract
  • Up to 13 weeks / 65 days holiday per annum
