Healthcare Support Worker

£12.01 per hour

Nuffield Health is a leading healthcare charity that puts patients first. We're looking for a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our Outpatients team at our Plymouth hospital.

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you'll work across various cases and support a wide range of specialties, broadening your skills and experience.

You'll assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry, and Physiotherapy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care
  • Carrying out pre-assessment, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Managing a wide range of activities and changing priorities
  • Ensuring the day-to-day operations of our various clinics run smoothly

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth. We have 3 main theatres, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, and a 35-bedded ward.

We carry out treatment under a range of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
