Mechanical Equipment Technician

We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our team at Briggs Equipment UK.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems located within Materials Handling and Powered Access Equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Gain on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other Engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off.
- Complete the 3-year apprenticeship qualification: Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard.
- Work will be carried out on customer's premises and at Briggs Equipment UK workshop locations within your specified region.
Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs at grade 4 / C or Scottish National 5 Grade C or above in English, Science & Mathematics (or equivalent) - Desirable.
- Enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic - i.e., hobbies related to maintenance/repair, work or voluntary experience, topics studied at school/college.
- Able to complete apprenticeship qualification tasks independently, managing and prioritising own workload, work to deadlines under pressure.
