Accounting and Financial Services Director

At Edward Jacobs, we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to oversee all aspects of accounting and financial management. This role will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting, taxation, auditing, and advisory services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial management, including financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Learn and implement financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting and finance best practices, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to management to help drive business growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
  • ~ ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification, or currently studying.
  • ~4 years+ of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in UK Public Practice.
  • ~ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • ~ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
