Role Overview

As a key member of the Reinsurance Operations Team at MS Amlin, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the management of reinsurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of reinsurance technicians to ensure effective management of reinsurance operations.
  • Assist the Reinsurance Operations Manager in managing relationships with third-party vendors, brokers, reinsurers, and co-reinsurers.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to drive the development of the Outwards Reinsurance function to better support the rest of the business.
  • Provide guidance to technicians on complex dispute resolution and escalate intricate issues to the relevant management level for resolution.
  • Oversee reinsurance credit control and manage escalation where necessary.
Requirements

For this role, we are looking for an individual with:

  • Excellent knowledge of technical outwards reinsurance operations, including reinsurance processes, procedures, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience in team leadership or mentoring, with the ability to guide team members effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Lloyd's processes and reinsurance best practice.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel.
