Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Orthopaedic Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary team colleagues to provide comprehensive, patient-centred interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex clinical caseload as an autonomous practitioner
- Contribute to service improvement, staff development, supervision, clinical effectiveness, and student education
- Work in a busy and fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and demonstrating a self-motivating and dynamic approach
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and core Occupational Therapy skills, with a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience. You will also need to be registered with the HCPC and have a PVG scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term post for 8.4 months, working Monday to Friday. You will have the opportunity to develop clinical and non-clinical skills, working with Trauma and Elective patients. Please note that this role is subject to the new working hours, with a reduction in full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024. However, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.
