Job Title: HGV Technician - Fleet Specialist

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. as a Fleet Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the expansion of our workshops and managing fleet repairs in-house.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to the test center.
  • Record vehicle defects and maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
  • Repair minor accident damage.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis.
  • Actively seek solutions to problems.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Work with various equipment, including vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • No more than 6 minor points on driving license.

Qualifications:

  • Commercial experience on HGVs is essential.
  • City & Guilds part 1 & 2 & 3/BTEC/IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
