Job Overview: Gynaecology Outpatient Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our team as a Gynaecology Outpatient Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide administrative support to our clinical teams, ensuring that patient information is processed efficiently and accurately.

Your duties will include processing patient information, booking appointments, and covering the reception desk on the Women's Unit. You will also deal with patients via the telephone to book, cancel or change an outpatient appointment.

The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience, preferably in a similar role, and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process patient information and booking appointments via electronic systems.
  • Cover the reception desk on the Women's Unit and deal with patients who are attending outpatient clinics.
  • Deal with patients via the telephone to book, cancel or change an outpatient appointment.

Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C+ or equivalent.
  • Administrative qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Previous administrative experience of at least one year.
  • Experience of working within a team and in a customer service environment.
