Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join our HR Operations and Finance department in the heart of London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely pay to employees and non-executive directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll cycles efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant UK payroll legislation and regulations
  • Manage payroll records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection guidelines
  • Liaise with HMRC and other external bodies regarding payroll-related matters
  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving payroll queries and discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with changing payroll regulations and ensure the payroll system reflects these changes
  • Coordinate pension contributions and manage related administrative tasks
  • Contribute to monthly and annual payroll reconciliations and audit processes

Requirements:

  • Payroll qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SdWorx, ADP, SAP)
  • In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Well-organised with the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll data
