  • Develop and implement nutritious and well-balanced menus using fresh, seasonal produce within budget constraints.
  • Consult with residents and clinical staff to ensure dietary requirements are met and menus are tailored to individual needs.
  • Review and update menus quarterly to reflect seasonal changes and resident feedback.
  • Prepare, cook, and present meals attractively, with a focus on home-cooked meals and minimal use of convenience foods.
  • Ensure modified meals and snacks are provided in line with operational procedures.
  • Provide a breakfast service to residents and serve meals in dining rooms at lunch and supper times.
  • Engage with residents daily, taking feedback and making necessary changes to improve the dining experience.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and monitor areas to ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and company policies.
  • Manage kitchen stock levels, order supplies, and ensure accurate stock rotation to optimize efficiency and economy.
  • Report equipment defects and withdraw from use immediately to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Attend resident meetings and events to facilitate a quality service and gather feedback.
  • Support the compliance team in ensuring staff have up-to-date legislative and mandatory training.
  • Complete and maintain Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, and HACCP checks to ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety policies.
