Job Summary

Moog designs, manufactures, and tests micro-hydraulic components and systems for various industries, providing bespoke customer solutions to address complex motion control challenges. Our products are applied in:

  • Oil and Gas

We are committed to developing our products and processes, creating opportunities for students to undertake a 12-month placement with us. This placement will continue the support provided by our existing intern.

Product and Quality Engineering Internship

This opportunity allows you to develop your engineering skills and invest in your professional growth while working within a highly skilled and dynamic engineering team. The role encompasses a broad range of abilities, primarily focusing on the productionization and development of assemblies and components. You will be involved in various projects, likely concentrating on micro-hydraulic products and processes, supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing, quality, inspection, and new product development.

You will work alongside our Engineering team, Operations team, and Assembly and Test team, reviewing current manufacturing, assembly, test processes, procedures, and reporting your findings. You will be keen to work and develop in areas such as product development, engineering analysis, process development, and CAD, but above all, you will be a hands-on individual.

Requirements

Currently studying (2nd/3rd years or recent graduates) an engineering-related degree

Demonstrable experience in practical problem-solving and workshop skills, either in university projects or in your own outside interests

Individuals with skill sets including electrical design, mechanical design, product development, design for assembly, lean activities, programming, machining, control theory, and hydraulics are highly valued and would be seen as an asset for the placement

About You

Interest in developing a technical career within engineering

Ability to interact at all levels of a business, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, while being a sociable and interactive team member

Team player, self-motivated, methodical in approach, quick to learn, and able to work under pressure to tight timescales
