Pipefitter Professional

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at Devonport Dockyard. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems on an infrastructure site. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and ensuring the integrity of piping systems critical to the operation and safety of the facility.

• Pipe Installation and Maintenance: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine pipe layout; assemble, install, and maintain pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Pipe Fabrication and Welding: Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools or machines; weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections.
• Pre-Installation Safety Checks: Conduct pre-installation safety checks on equipment and materials; follow all safety protocols and procedures specific to the nuclear industry.
• Piping System Inspection and Repair: Inspect piping systems and identify issues such as leaks or wear; perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on piping systems.

• Experience as a Pipefitter in an infrastructure environment.
• Hold correct industry grade card.
• Ability to achieve BPSS.
