Electrical Engineer Opportunity

VIQU Limited is partnering with a leading entity in operational technology and digital transformation to seek skilled Electrical Engineers for their Energy team.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in control systems, field cabling systems, and control panel design, along with relevant education and proficiency in software such as Word, Autocad, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing electrical and control systems, particularly focusing on PLC based systems for thermal and hydro power generation.
  • Conducting site surveys, creating system designs, producing documentation, and providing support during site acceptance testing.
  • Developing and implementing electrical and control systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in control systems within the energy market.
  • Competency in field cabling systems including surveying and route identification.
  • Competency in control panel design incorporating PLC, I/O, Comms cards, UPS's etc.
  • Relevant education to at least degree level or HND with additional experience.
  • Computer literacy with Word, Autocad, and Excel.
  • Methodical approach to project interpretation and delivery.
  • Understanding of Full Project Lifecycle.
  • Hold a current full driving licence (UK or be able to easily convert to full UK).
  • Willingness to undergo a basic disclosure Scotland check.
