Job Opportunity: Classics Teacher

About the Role:

Pearson Whiffin Education Careers is seeking a qualified and experienced Classics Teacher to join our team on a supply basis in an outstanding school. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching Latin up to KS4 and a creative and innovative teaching style to engage students who like to be challenged academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Latin and Classical Civilisation to students at GCSE and A-Level
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of very academic students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods

Requirements:

  • Proven experience teaching Latin up to KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Classical Civilisation
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of gifted students
  • DBS on the update service
  • Right to work in the UK
