Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Infrastructure Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Telent Technology Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across various Train Operating Companies contracts.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and self-motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a 24/7 operation. The role involves daily reactive maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with SISS and Telephony systems. You will also be responsible for remote monitoring of systems, testing and fault finding, and undertaking technical investigations and audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily reactive maintenance activities across SISS and Telephony systems, including CCTV systems, IP Networks, Help Points, Screens, Public Address, CIS, PAVA, and Wi-Fi
  • Carrying out daily, weekly, monthly, and annual planned maintenance activities as defined by the Team Leader
  • Remote monitoring of all systems to identify issues and implement fixes
  • Testing and fault finding on equipment, systems, and associated infrastructure cabling (copper / fibre)
  • Undertaking of technical investigations and audits
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of undertaking maintenance activities, both corrective and planned. You should have proven fault-finding skills and experience, including the use of suitable test equipment. Additionally, you should have excellent IT skills, including proficiency in laptop and Office 365 applications. Experience of working with SLA driven maintenance contracts is also essential.
