Job Title: Maintenance Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Staying Put, a leading organization providing vital support and services to survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence in Bradford.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting our team in providing high-quality maintenance services to our refuges and dispersed properties. This includes ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing repairs, and maintaining a high-quality standard of accommodation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the maintenance team to deliver excellent services to our residents
  • Manage repairs and maintenance of our properties, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Work with a trauma-informed and solution-focused approach to support residents in maintaining their tenancies
  • Line manage a team of handypersons and refuge-based housekeepers
Requirements:
  • Experience of housing and building management, ideally in a housing context
  • Strong working knowledge of the current housing benefit system and tenancy management
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and processes
  • Ability to work with vulnerable people and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
