About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our management team as a Quality and Development Manager. This role will support the Head of Room and Team within the room, working alongside the Management Team to ensure best practice throughout the nursery and with other Quality and Development Managers.

The ideal candidate will have a similar role or be a manager/deputy manager looking for a more hands-on role, focusing on quality and ensuring best practice, supporting training, and being a senior team leader.

The Murrayfield Nursery is part of CC Nurseries and is based in Edinburgh. Our nursery offers a home-from-home environment, led by a passionate and caring team, with hand-picked resources to encourage self-directed play and discovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all teams within the nursery, working alongside the Manager.
  • Work with the Nursery Room Leader to ensure best practice within the room.
  • Ensure that teams provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor.
  • Support the Room Leader in leading their teams and supporting their training needs.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the Curriculum Excellence are followed.
Requirements
  • Qualified level 3 or above.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in a nursery.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
