The Role

As a Procurement Manager, Managed Services at Roche, you will be part of the Finance & Operations team, focusing on Managed Laboratory Services (MLS). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with procurement experts to shape the MLS procurement category and its respective Category Plan(s).
  • Overseeing services and diagnostic solutions from third-party suppliers, requiring strong commercial acumen and experience in strategic procurement.
  • Driving improvements, influencing change, developing procurement strategies, and enhancing the total cost ownership, service, and quality for MLS categories.
  • Closely collaborating with stakeholders to elevate third-party supplier performance.

Key Focus Areas

  • Developing and implementing the "source to contract" process for specific categories, including resolving any contract issues.
  • Managing third-party relationships within the MLS framework.
  • Identifying new products and services to enrich the end-user experience.
  • Ensuring robust contracts with relevant SLAs and KPIs, working alongside Commercial and Sales Managers during the MLS Sales tender process.
  • Delivering accurate spend and market analysis, including forecasts on cost variations and market shifts.
  • Addressing commercial and contractual risks proactively.
  • Continuously evaluating internal and external processes for optimization opportunities.

  • Confident, articulate, and tenacious, with an ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Demonstrated excellence in contract negotiation and high commercial awareness.
  • Proven experience in driving change and previous involvement in a global or regional procurement function.

Qualifications

  • University degree is preferred but not mandatory (preferably in Procurement and Supply Chain Management).
  • Pursuing or possession of MCIPS is desirable.
  • English proficiency is essential; additional languages are a bonus.
