Job Purpose:

As a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist at Frank Roberts & Sons Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of our company by implementing positive and constructive actions and attitude. Your support in FSQ functions will be invaluable in ensuring the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Monitoring and Inspections:
  • Conduct routine inspections of in-process products and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Review retained samples from past shifts production to ensure adherence to QAS.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality specifications.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the FSQ Manager.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality checks, inspections, and test results.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of quality assurance documentation, including SOPs, quality manuals, and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Support the execution of quality control tests, including microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of products.
  • Record and analyse test data, providing reports on findings and recommendations for corrective actions.

Compliance and Audits:

  • Coordinate complaints and investigations, and close non-conformances.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances throughout the factory and implement corrective actions.
  • Support ongoing compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and other industry standards.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  • Ensure testing equipment (scales/probes etc) is in full working order, through internal and external calibration, raising any issues to the FSQ Manager.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Internal Auditor trained.
  • HACCP L3.
  • Food Safety L3.
  • Knowledge and experience in BRC and other food safety audits, including food service and sandwich manufacturers.
  • Complaints handling experience.
