Fixed Term Opportunity for Health Economist

We are seeking a highly skilled health economist to join the University of Bristol's team, covering maternity leave and contributing to research and teaching.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking high-quality research, leading teaching initiatives, providing project management and supervision, and disseminating research findings.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Developing and implementing high-quality research projects, including securing funding and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Leading teaching on the MSc in Health Economics and Health Policy Analysis.
  • Managing junior staff and doctoral researchers, providing guidance and support.
  • Communicating research findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Participating in leadership activities and providing expert advice on research issues.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in health economics research.
  • Proven experience in teaching and teaching leadership roles.
  • Excellent research skills and experience in health economics.
  • Ability to secure research funding and collaborate in multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Contract Details:

Fixed Term for 1 year or earlier return of the postholder from maternity leave. Part-time/0.8 FTE. Annual Salary: £40,392 - £53,712.
