Strategic Land Acquisition Specialist

Caralex Recruitment Limited is working with a national plc housebuilder to appoint a Strategic Land Acquisition Specialist to cover a patch of Somerset, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire. The role involves identifying, appraising, and buying strategic greenfield land, either outright or under option. The successful candidate will have experience in strategic land purchases as a Land Manager or Town Planner and will be able to understand local plans and negotiate with land owners and their agents. The role will be broad, covering land identification, purchase, and gaining planning permission. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a variety of people, including networking to build and maintain land industry contacts, working professionally with external consultants, and internal team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and appraise strategic greenfield land
• Negotiate with land owners and their agents
• Obtain planning permission
• Work with external consultants and internal team members
Requirements:
• Experience in strategic land purchases as a Land Manager or Town Planner
• Ability to understand local plans and negotiate with land owners and their agents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
