We are seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to lead our Projects business stream on a full-time permanent basis. The primary objective of this role is to oversee and direct site-based staff in their day-to-day activities to achieve project completion as outlined by the customer. This position will support the Site Managers in driving service delivery, which will be recognized by the client, and ensure key performance targets and SLAs are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to established work practices, while controlling environmental impacts and complying with legislative requirements.
  • Day-to-day line management responsibilities for Projects craft persons, including holidays, training, performance, and timesheets.
  • Responsible for the daily delivery of site-based activities as per the Programme.
  • Active participation in Daily Site Briefings.
  • Ensure correct permits are in place where required and associated documentation is completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure a high standard of productivity is achieved on site activities with efficient planning of labour, plant, and materials.
  • Ensure adequate requirements are in place to deliver with zero incidents, on time, with zero defects, and within customer compliance targets.
  • Support the Construction Manager in day-to-day activities, achieving adequate understanding of the role to deputise when required.
  • Creation of any required Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring suitable revision and review, is applied pre and post job completion.
  • Ensuring all weekly and monthly internal and external deadlines are met, and when asked, prepare detailed reports to substantiate the figures.

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar level role, ideally within an engineering or civils environment, and an excellent working knowledge of the water industry would be beneficial. Awareness of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts, as well as an electrical or mechanical bias, are also essential for the role. Travel to various sites throughout the country is required, so a valid UK driving license is essential for the position.
