Accounts Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our client's team with the option of either full time or part time hours. This role will play a vital part in supporting the Finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cashiering: Assist in preparations prior to banking activity, download bank statements, prepare banking receipts and payments for allocation, post nominal ledger journals, carry out daily bank reconciliation, and handle cash and cheque receipts.
  • Sales Ledger Support: Monitor the shared email inbox, answer phone calls, and deal with inquiries, send copy invoices, raise and update queries, review Point of Sale credit limit overrides, and chase debt when required.
  • Purchase Ledger Support: Monitor the shared email inbox, register supplier invoices, support staff with supplier invoice issues, set up new accounts, reconcile supplier statements, set up payment runs, and ensure proper order numbers on all invoices.
