Pharmaceutical Specialist

The estimated salary for this role is between £55,000 and £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust as a Specialist Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing clinical pharmacy services in the Medical and Surgical Divisions at Weston General Hospital.

In this role, you will liaise with senior pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff to promote safe and effective use of medicines within the Medical and Surgical divisions. You will also provide information and support to the Medical and Surgical Divisions on drug usage and expenditure.

• Maintain and develop clinical pharmacy services to the Medical and Surgical Divisions including outpatients, front door, and other medical wards at Weston General Hospital.
• Liaise with the relevant senior pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff to promote safe and effective use of medicines within the Medical and Surgical divisions.
• Provide information and support to the Medical and Surgical Divisions on drug usage and expenditure and work with senior clinicians in the directorate to maximize the clinical effectiveness of medicines used and minimize cost.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practice and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
