About the Role:


The Health Promotion Coordinator for Aboriginal Communities will be responsible for coordinating, planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion interventions with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal populations.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist the Manager Health Promotion to determine the strategic priorities for health promotion for the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) catchment area.
  • Collaborate to implement agreed programs and take a lead role to support and guide teams formed to implement those programs.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on activities and outcomes.
  • Consult with government departments, non-government organisations, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and the community to ensure intersectoral support for health promotion initiatives.

Working in this role, you will lead the Priority Communities Program and collaborate with local service providers and community in priority localities to develop tailored interventions that support healthy behaviours and create safer environments.


This role reports to the Manager Health Promotion.
