Civils Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Civils Technician to join our team in Oxfordshire. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to obtain EngTech MICE on an ICE Training Scheme in a supportive environment with a well-regarded and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute expertise in drainage adoption procedures, including Section 106/104, Sewers for Adoption, and SuDS Manual principles.
  • Build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with professional teams using excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Use CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D, to create accurate drawings and models.
  • Support the production of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
  • Coordinate with local authorities for approvals, including Section 38, 278, and 104 agreements.

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized engineering or CAD qualification.
  • Bring civil engineering design consultancy experience.
  • Technical expertise with highways and civil engineering design software such as Civil 3D, Site 3D, AutoTrack, and MicroDrainage/Flow.
  • Able to take ownership of the technical approval process with self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of highway planning procedures, including Section 38/278 Agreements, MfS, and DMRB standards.
  • Able to thrive in a team environment while following instructions and contributing to collaborative success.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, pension scheme up to 5%, initial 25 days holiday, flexible working including the opportunity to work from home, private healthcare, Salary Sacrifice Scheme, Death in Service benefit, Cycle to Work Scheme, paid professional membership, and regular CPD seminars held in house.
