Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Ikon Fostering As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance and supervision to foster carers, ensuring the highest standards of care and well-being for children and young people.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, with a strong understanding of legislation and best practices. You will be responsible for conducting Form F assessments, monitoring foster carer suitability, and maintaining accurate records.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective support plans for foster carers, promoting high-quality care and well-being.
  • Conduct regular supervisory visits, providing expert guidance and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Local Authority Social Workers, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes, adapting policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with foster carers, promoting a positive, child-centered approach.
  • Work collaboratively with the child's network, identifying needs and developing personalized plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support plans, making adjustments as necessary.
